Welcome to Hübingen!
A village for our Subud family
What makes Hübingen so special – and what can we look forward to?
This year, our Subud family is gathering in a truly special place: the Familienferiendorf Hübingen, a
peaceful holiday village nestled in the magical Westerwald forest – surrounded by meadows, quiet
woodland paths, and even a real circus tent!
Here, in the heart of nature, we’ll spend a full week together – with our families and with brothers
and sisters from all over the world. More than 200 participants from 22 countries have registered for
these six days.
We’ll have:
- plenty of space for latihan and kejiwaan
 - a lovingly run kindergarten each morning
 - a large circus tent and a tipi for meetings and events
 - dedicated rooms for helpers’ work, delegates’ meetings, and workshops
 - a modern chapel for special occasions
 - opportunities for sports like football, table tennis, and volleyball
 - scenic forest trails for walks and hikes
 - quiet places with open views, perfect for slowing down and finding peace in challenging
 - times

How will we live?
The village was originally built for families who couldn’t otherwise afford a vacation – it’s not a hotel,
but rather more like a youth hostel with a family spirit.
We’ll be staying in 40 small Bauhaus-style houses – bright, simple, and surrounded by nature. Each
house includes:
- a kitchen
 - a living area
 - a bathroom with a shower
 - two to four bedrooms, each with its own sink

It’s a bit like real family life: simple, mindful, and full of lively togetherness.
Good to know:
Shared meals at the village restaurant
We’ll all meet at the village restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The buffets are varied and offer something for everyone – including vegetarian options.
Kitchens for optional use
Each house has its own kitchen, which you’re welcome to use – whether you want to:
- prepare a little snack or warm drink between meals
 - cook your favorite dish and share it with others
 - supermarkets are a ten minute drive away

Laundry & bedding
- Bed linen and towels are provided
 - Beds must be made by each guest, just like in a youth hostel
 - There are washing machines available in the service area of the village

Bathrooms & hygiene
- Each bedroom has its own washbasin
 - Please bring your own toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, etc.)
 - Hairdryers can be borrowed from reception
 - Shower times can be easily coordinated with your housemates

Terrace meet-ups
Each holiday home has a small, furnished terrace – perfect for a morning coffee, a sunset chat, or
simply connecting with one another throughout the day.
We’re looking forward to a fulfilling, blessed, and inspiring time with all of you!
